Investitionsbank Sachsen-Anhalt is the development bank of Saxony-Anhalt. It was founded in 1993 as an institution to promote regional development and was newly established as a bank in 2004. Since then Investitionsbank has also offered promotional loans and financial products.

Investitionsbank cooperates closely with the regional government of Saxony-Anhalt. Furthermore Investitionsbank is considered as an important strategic partner by the regional government.

Investitionsbank offers financial products and services in different fields of funding such as economic development especially support of SMEs, technology and innovation, culture, education and media, housing and infrastructure.

Portfolio of Investitionsbank contains approximately 50 promotional programs – loans as well as grants – and a wide range of related services and products. In 2009 Investitionsbank approved a volume of around 600 million Euros for grants and nearly 200 million Euros for loans. It employed 338 people last year

Sachsen-Anhalt to promote SMEs and to enhance the transfer between research and economy will feed the knowledge basis of the PERIA consortium. PERIAs output will be fed in the regional dialogue for economic policies and thus will directly be shared with the involved ministries. This is possible because Investitionsbank cooperates closely with the regional government of Saxony-Anhalt. Furthermore Investitionsbank is considered as an important strategic partner by the regional government.
